Illustration of a lakefront

Summer 2024. — This was an older piece, initially intended just as a placeholder and ended up sticking around for the first 6 months or so of the new website. The prompt that inspired it was, 'Favourite place'.

Illustration of shadows on snow

Winter 2024–2025. — We'd recently moved back to Canada after 6 years abroad and I was revelling in snow, so much snow. I love the way the light and shadows fall differently in each season and, at the time, was marvelling daily at the blue and purple winter shadows in our nearby park.

Illustration of grocery shopping

Summer 2025. — It took me a long time to decide what I would draw for this season. I wanted it to feel relevant to what was happening on my website, but also not be too on the nose. It still might be very on the nose. This was a time when I was starting to add (plant) more to my Garden. The metaphor here is illustrating a switch from consumption of what others have created to an exploration into creating something of my own.
